Man's woven belt
This man's belt, called huayame in Wixárika, is a very fine example of traditional weaving. The belt which is two meters long is wound several times around the waist. This huayame was made using natural brown and white virgin wool that was hand spun and then woven on the back strap loom. The main motif depicts the water gourd.
