During the time Edwin Forgan Myers spent time living in Bolaños, he made many friends among the Wixárika (Huichol) people. These particular pictures were taken in 1938, in the ceremonial centers of Pochotita and Las Latas in the Community of Santa Catarina and in Tuxpan de Bolaños, Community of San Sebastían. The texts below his pictures are exactly as he wrote them, with the exception a very few corrections in the spelling of Wixárika words.
