Pablito Wearing a Tsikuaki Mask
This photograph was taken in Mesa del Tirador by Juan Negrín in 1979 after one of various pilgrimages that he took with the renowned artist and mara'akame, Yauxali Pablo Taizán. In this photograph, the mara'akame's son, Pablito, is wearing a tsikuaki mask, a ritual character that personifies the humor and trickster spirit to challenge the members of the community.
