Official Statement from the Wixárika Community of Taateikie San Andrés Cohamiata

To the authorities at all three levels of government: federal, state, and municipal.

To the institutions responsible for security, protection, and the defense of human rights, and to the general public.

The Wixárika Community of Taateikie San Andrés Cohamiata (Municipality of Mezquitic, Jalisco)—gathered at Bajío del Carrizal, an annex of the El Carrizal Commissariat—raises its voice to demand immediate, urgent, and coordinated intervention by the competent authorities in response to recent events that have severely compromised the safety and peace of our families and community.
