Wirikuta: 13 Years of Defense of Sacred Territory--Advances and Challenges

Video of the press conference given by the Wixárika Regional Council for the Defense of Wirikuta and the Wixárika traditional agrarian authorities, held at the Jesuit University (ITESO), on April 18, 2024. The press conference addresses the ongoing defense of Wirikuta, the injunction they have in place that prohibits mining, and their opinion regarding the exportation of hikuri (peyote) to the United States. At the end of the video the President of Communal Goods of Tuapurie reads aloud their official proclamation.
