White and Blue Kutsuri
This shoulder bag (kutsuri in Wixárika) was made from hand spun virgin wool and colored using plant based blue dye. It was woven on the back-strap loom and the main motif represents the puma (mayé). The bag was acquired in the mid 1970's in the community of Tuapurie.
