Embroidered shoulder bag - Kutsiuri
 
This exquisite diagonal stitch kutsiuri was embroidered on the fine cotton cloth (manta) that was once produced at the textile mill in Bella Vista on the outskirts of Tepic, Nayarit. The embroidery thread used is cotton and dyed with aniline dyes. This work was commissioned by Yvonne Negrín from Jamaima Carrillo in the community of Tuapurie. It was made using the the fine two point stitch, sometimes called "punto de oro".
