View of the Sierra de Catorce close to the village of La Maroma on route to El Jordán. Small hamlets located throughout this important mountainous region that is the center to a unique and endangered hydrological basin and far from the tourism of Real Catorce while holding many of he same colonial vestiges from the mining industry. During the 2010s, a successful struggle was won against the La Maroma Dam financed by Carlos Slim's Grupo Cuarzo.
