View of the Kieruwit+a Ceremonial Center that is part of the Tuapurie (Santa Catarina Cuexcomatitlán) community. This photograph shows the ceremonial center in 1978 as it was prior to governmental development programs that brought in new materials like corrugated roofs and prior to the current concentration of new structures and a road completed in 2025. At the time this photo was taken the lagoon, seen behind the family ranches, had not yet been drained.
