Detail of Kauyumarie’s xiriki at the ceremonial center of Keuruwiitüa

In the above photograph we see a detail of the shrine (Xiriki) of Our Elder Brother, Tamatsi Kauyumarie, which is built on a pyramidal platform. The central disk is a nierika which symbolizes the penetrating vision of Our Elder Brother. This xiriki is adorned with deer antlers and strings of dried peyote.
