The plumed arrow, called muvieri in Wixárika, is used for healing and during religious ceremonies. The feathers used can vary but the preferred feathers are often those of an eagle or hawk. In this example the rattle of a rattle snake has been attached. The muvieri, along with other sacred objects, is carried in a shaman's basket called a takuatsi in Wixarika.
